Urban Light

A day-tour in Hollywood will not be completed without visiting the magnificent work of art by Chris Burden. This is like an installation art of 202 restored 1920s cast-iron streetlamps from Los Angeles and many other nearby cities. His main objective with this artwork is to show the sophistication of the urban landscape. You too can visit it at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Urban Light is definitely a tourist attraction you want to check out when visiting L.A. After seeing it in movies, I finally was able to see it for myself. I was with my aunts and my sister and we really had fun hanging out with these streetlamps. By the way, this is good for a date night. :)

Singapore is an excellent out-of-the-country getaway for barkadas. The buildings are magnificent, the food, the culture and every single detail were made with perfection. And I am just a happy traveler that moment when I visited this place with two of my friends from the Philippines - Madz and Erika.

THE HOTEL

If you are thinking of Summer, the first thing that comes to your mind is a cooler place to stay. There is no other easy way to combat the summer heat but to run into a hotel, get freeze 24 hours with the ac and stay away from the 36 degrees Celsius weather in the metro. I came to Remington Hotel in Newport City, Pasay. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and everything was a great experience.

My Happy Birthday

A 3-hour drive from Los Angeles won't be bad to have my birthday festivities. After all, seeing a beautiful place like Solvang is incomparable.  And I say, everything was perfect in here.

While entering the small city, all you can notice is the wineries at the side. I so love the tall stretching  pine trees as they welcome you to a Danish-themed world. There are lots of gigantic windmills. The sidewalks are like cobblestones adding an old charm  to the city, with colorful blossoming flowers that you can't resist staring at them. We are bound to find a location that everyone will surely enjoy.

Winding Up in Solvang

This post is a month later than my actual birthday. But I just want to share a good place where I celebrated my birthday last January with my family. It was in Solvang, California. Dubbed as the  "Little Denmark", keeping a very Danish old world architecture, it was actually founded by Danes who traveled west to establish  a Danish colony far from the midwestern winters in the year 1911.

Are you or a loved one a shop phobic?

Shop phobic is a person who have fear of malls, stores and all other activities having to do with shopping. Surprisingly, I am NOT. :) In fact, I know one good place to shop when you are in Los Angeles. I say that it is in Camarillo, with  a long array of stores, you have a ton of options where to shop at its lowest prices.  This won't let you feel restricted since it's basically cheaper than the factory price and sometimes they have special discounts going on in addition to the outlet "cheaper" price.

Redondo Beach

Being a person who grew up in an island dashed off beach to be an everyday scenery for me. I am at accustomed with seascapes stood with greenery and nipa huts alongside which is a common tableau in my province. This is the reason why a beach in a modern place amazes me so well, with tall trendy buildings, ravishing parks and all the rage sea transportation all over. This is surely a beautiful spot for me!

Welcome to Redondo Beach! A perfect place when you want to be in the sun and near the ocean when you are in the Los Angeles area. The white sand, the blue sea, the clear sky. It is truly a paradise on earth. Every trifle of air you take smells of the ocean. The beautiful weather and the relaxing beach life attract many to roll in this place. But the very first thing you will surely notice when you come here is the pier which is home to many shops, restaurants and many other establishments.

Long Beach is the perfect place to escape the city life, especially when all you want to do is to stroll, relax and enjoy a beach-bum lifestyle. I visited this city with my family to see The Queen Mary and to chill out at The Chill. These are few of the finest attractions in Long Beach but it has more to offer. This place is also known because of its beautiful long stretch of clean sand and clear water.
