Long Beach is the perfect place to escape the city life, especially when all you want to do is to stroll, relax and enjoy a beach-bum lifestyle. I visited this city with my family to see The Queen Mary and to chill out at The Chill. These are few of the finest attractions in Long Beach but it has more to offer. This place is also known because of its beautiful long stretch of clean sand and clear water. The first thing we did is to breeze in the Queen Mary. Known as the grandest ocean liner in the whole world, the Queen Mary is now a tourist attraction in Long Beach. This gigantic ship is now a historical landmark and an entertainment venue to visitors, giving them, a unique glimpse into a bygone era when steamships were the most regal way to travel. After our self-guided tour at the ship, we went straight to The Chill. This is the coolest place that I have been in my entire life. The Chill is a unique holiday attraction in Long Beach next to the Queen Mary's big dome. It's the only kind of ice sculpture event during Holidays featuring an awe-inspiring exhibition of larger-than-life sculptures ranging their sizes from 8 feet to 24 feet tall. The entire exhibit is made up of about 4,500 blocks of ice, weighing 2 million pounds. The tent has to be kept at 9 degrees, so each visitor will be given a special parka to walk around the tent in. I know there are so many great restaurants in Long Beach! But when you are inside the Queen Mary Seawalk, you can't find any food choices. The only one you can find is in one booth before entering the Holiday Village. Though, their foods are quite pricey, we have no other options to fill our hungry stomachs but with those pizzas, sausages and gelatos that they are selling. Available is a free metro service, The Passport. This will take you to downtown Long Beach finest destinations. Here, you can find other tourist attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific. We tried the 45-minute Harbor Breeze Cruise tour boat located at the Long Beach Harbor. It is a double-deck 65-foot vessel with a snack bar, lavatories, comfortable salon seating and large outdoor decks for great views. You will also learn history about the harbor, as well as see the beautiful Long Beach skyline, California Sea Lions playing in the harbor, the world-famous Queen Mary, large cargo and container ships from all over the world. What I’m wearing: long sleeves shirt (H&M), cardigans (Merona), jeans (Abercrombie & Fitch), cap (Target Men's Clothing) boat shoes (Sanuk). Hype this on lookbook here. While cruising, I just cant resist taking photos of the beautiful scenery. I love how the sun sets while we are sailing along the beautiful coastline. I would recommend this place for a family or solo vacation because it is a very stress-free relaxing place.

Envious!! Going on a short cruise is what I've been longing for ever since.. if I were only given a US visa. Nonetheless, I'll surely experience something as personal as this when I finally get a chance to. Glad that you had a wonderful, chilly time there! :) 1/6/2013 01:38:56 pm

Long beach is really packed with attraction and I'm surprised they have a cold area attraction which is perfect if you want to escape the warm beach humidity. 1/7/2013 07:35:45 am
Long Beach is a place where my boyfriend and I have added to our travel wish list. We'll be heading to the U.S.A. for a two-week vacation sometime in 2014. 1/7/2013 01:03:29 pm
Queen Mary is indeed amazing. Plus the scenic view along Long Beach would make every visitor wish they don't want to leave.
