This post is a month later than my actual birthday. But I just want to share a good place where I celebrated my birthday last January with my family. It was in Solvang, California. Dubbed as the "Little Denmark", keeping a very Danish old world architecture, it was actually founded by Danes who traveled west to establish a Danish colony far from the midwestern winters in the year 1911.
You will find lots of things to do here like wine tasting, museum hopping, boutique shopping or even food tripping. The place will over you a good venue for strolling and playing outdoors. Treat your taste buds with many international cuisines but don't forget to grab some Danish pastries. Solvang is home to many bakeries and restaurants that will give you a taste of Denmark.
