Buying a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses is one of the easiest things to do. The hardest thing is deciding which style is perfect for you. Lucky I am when I received a pair of Ray Ban Wayferer Limited Edition Rare Print Sunglasses from my mom's friend. I am so loving it. But in the Philippines, these types of brands have replicas, imitated in lower quality and being sold in lower prices too. So if you are planning to buy a Ray Ban sunglasses, you should be careful and make sure that it is not FAKE. Why?

Did you know that sunglasses that are not properly UV protective can  cause damage to your eyes? Protecting your eyes from the sun's harmful UV rays is important. This is the reason why we have to check if our sunglasses are worth the money we pay.

Ray-Ban is one of the most popular and preferred brands in the fashion eyewear industry that is running in market for almost 80 years. Considering the name and the product itself, these sunglasses can be too pricey. When shopping for Ray-Bans, you don't want to be paying for fakes when you think you're getting the real deal.

But do you know which one is fake? Well,  here are some ways to spot which Ray Ban is fake and which is not.

1. Compare the prices -  We know that this kind of sunglasses are of pricey. Usually the prices range from 160 USD (7200 Php) and up, comparing to fake glasses which is being sold for 20 USD or less. You can get it in Quiapo and Divisoria for only 100 Php. Also, don't forget to ask for warranty cards.

2. Inspect the logo on the lenses -  The first thing to check about the logo is if it is on the right place. RB logo is engraved o the RIGHT lens above the hinge. If the engraving is located below the hinge, they are probably fake.  The logo is clear, clean and is hardly to be scratched off. Another, an interlocked logo is found on nose pads.

3. Hold and touch to check materials - Comparing the real Ray-Ban sunglasses to fake ones, they are a little bit heavier. The reason for this is that the materials are in good quality and are built to last long. The part that rests on ears has rubber type material and should be high in quality and doesn't feel brittle. The fake ones use plastic, which is hard and feels very uncomfortable. Quality rubber is used on real Ray-Bans and should feel chalky to the touch, not sticky, stiff or slick.

4. Check the case - The case is made up of a hard quality leather. A shiny logo is located on the left side which will say something like: "100% UV Protection - Ray Ban - Sunglasses By Luxottica". Check the popper if it has a logo on it.  The case also contains a cleaning cloth and manufacturers note, the "Icons".  Take note to check the prints of the booklet. It has a shiny high quality prints, no wrong spellings and grammar mistakes and should be in impeccable language.

5. Don't forget to check the model number - A model number is found on the inside part of the glasses. Each pair has a serial number stamped inside the lens arm. Check the model numbers on the RayBan website to be sure.

6. Research product - Before purchasing your Ray Ban sunglasses, make sure to research the characteristics of a REAL Ray Ban item, where to buy and how much will it cost you. These are the basic questions you should know to avoid buying fake Ray Bans.

7. Review the seller - Always check feedback about the seller. Know where the products came from. Better purchase this kind of items on a reliable store.  This is the first line to protect you from buying fake sunglasses.  If you are buying online, check feedback about the online shop.  Make sure you can purchase your items over a secure server.  Check the refund policy of the store, warranties and guarantees.

If you still feel doubtful about identifying fake ones from original Ray-Bans, rely on the legit stores that sell these types of eye wear. Thank you for reading these guidelines and I hope it helps you to buy genuine RayBan eyewear with more confidence.

Do youknow the original RayBan specially the aviator have unique screw. usually it is called in and out screw. once you lost the screw optical will ask you which screw the in or the out. one will not fit with the other.

with regard to wayfarer the hinge should be 3 is to 4. Hinge is where the screw is placed.

I have wayfarer old school style you can identify if rayban is fake or not.. Raynan is originally handmade you can read in the right side of the frame if not say handmade that's means is a class a replica you buy and the original rayban cost originally $250 or above if you buy some Rayban cost only $200 or below that means that was a fake and not made from rayban industry in India for example you can buy duplicated rayban from the stores that's why you have to be carefull and its already all over the world no.1in dubai

The best thing to identify if rayban is genuine is to look the letters in the temple arm, looking at it you will think it is engrave letters, but if you look it for more you will findout it is a paint writtings and not engrave letters. In a replica, in the first time you look for the letters you already notice its a paint. I dont know how ray-ban do that but replica cant copy it.
